Mid-senior Planning Manager (direct hire, on site in Boonton, NJ) overseeing production planning, scheduling, materials planning, inventory control, and materials availability to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements. Develops and maintains production plans aligning customer demand with manufacturing capacity, material availability, inventory objectives, and operational priorities; ensures coordination between Production, Customer Service, Inventory, and other functions; provides leadership and direction to planning and inventory activities; drives continuous improvement in planning, scheduling, inventory accuracy, and materials management. Operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment balancing customer requirements, capacity, material availability, inventory levels, and changing priorities — including production planning for the GMD plate production plant and forecasting Boonton and Toronto plate requirements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in production planning, materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain · Previous supervisory/management experience an asset · Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, MRP, and inventory management · Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning · Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JD Edwards an asset) · Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, email, reporting skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines · Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, time-management skills · Strong leadership and collaboration skills · Bachelor's degree
