How it works
Tell us your lanes, equipment, and rate floor.
We send you load cards. Nothing gets booked without your YES — every load, every time.
We handle setup packets, rate confirmations, PODs, invoicing, and detention claims.
Freight pay goes directly to you. We never touch it.
Weekly recap and one simple fee invoice.
Boards. We work free load boards, plus any board you already subscribe to, under your account at no extra charge.
Cost. 5% of collected gross. 3% for the first two weeks. A $200 one-time onboarding fee at signing, before setup starts, credited against your first load fees. If a load doesn't get paid, we get $0 on it.
Who it's for. Owner-operators with their own authority who want someone handling the load search and paperwork while they drive.
What we are. Cowen Enterprises Group is a dispatch and back-office support service for owner-operators — not a broker and not a carrier. We hold no broker authority, and we never touch your freight pay: it goes directly to you, or to your factor if you factor.
Meet the founder
Kevin Cowen · Founder, Cowen Enterprises Group · Jacksonville, FL
Kevin spent 13 years as a CDL-A driver, driver trainer, and operations coverage before starting Cowen Enterprises Group. He built the driver-management service around the two things carriers care about most: you approve every load, and your freight pay goes directly to you.
Questions carriers ask
Are you a broker?
No. Cowen Enterprises Group is a dispatch and back-office support service acting as your agent under a written agreement. We are not a broker and not a carrier, and we hold no broker authority.
Who approves the loads?
You do — every load, every time. Nothing gets booked without your YES.
How long is the agreement?
30 days to start, then month-to-month. Either side can cancel with 7 days’ written (email) notice. Fees remain due only for loads booked before termination that are completed and paid.
Do you accept new authorities?
Yes. One honest note: many brokers require 90+ days of active authority, and Amazon Relay requires 180+ days, so the early weeks lean on boards that accept new carriers.
What if my truck breaks down?
That's on you, not us — we don't handle roadside assistance, repairs, or towing. You handle the truck, and you tell us immediately about any delay so we can tell the broker.
What equipment do you work with?
Dry van, reefer, flatbed, hotshot, and Sprinter vans. Tell us your setup in the form.
What states do you cover?
Wherever you run. You set your home base, lanes, and rate floor — there are no state restrictions.
What does it cost?
5% of collected gross, 3% for the first two weeks, plus a $200 one-time onboarding fee at signing, before setup starts, credited against your first load fees. If a load doesn’t get paid, we get $0 on it.
